What is the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP)?
The Affordable Connectivity Program, run by the FCC, is designed to help households afford the broadband they need for essential daily tasks such as work, school, healthcare, and more. With this program, eligible households can receive a discount of up to $30 per month on their internet service, while households on qualifying Tribal lands can receive up to $75 per month in discounts.
Eligibility for the ACP’s services and devices is based on consumer qualifications, the participation of providers, product availability, and approval from the FCC/Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC). The ACP was established on December 31, 2021, and has replaced the previous Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) program. Subscribers who were enrolled in the EBB by December 31, 2021 are eligible to continue receiving the EBB benefit for 60 days and must transition to the ACP benefits by March 1, 2022 if eligible.

How do I qualify for ACP benefits?
You automatically qualify for ACP benefits if you participate in various government assistance programs, such as

- SNAP
- Medicaid
- SSI
- Federal Public Housing Assistance
- Veterans and Survivors Pension Benefits Fund, and others
Additionally, you may be eligible if your household income is at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines or if you are unemployed.

How long will the ACP last?

The ACP service will be discontinued if the FCC announces depletion of funding, we end our ACP offerings, or it is established that you are no longer eligible for the ACP.
